Construction companies are increasingly targeting the young with an eye towards their next contract.
A study of more than 100 young workers employed at the construction company Abilene Construction Services shows a sharp rise in the number of graduates from a cohort of graduates with the right credentials.
The study was carried out by University College Cork’s Research Group on Career Pathways in Construction (RCPG), and examined the number and characteristics of the candidates they interviewed and their employers.
The researchers said there was a significant increase in graduates from the Construction Industry Training Academy (CITA) program, which was launched in 2014.
The CITA is a non-profit that teaches construction industry students how to apply for jobs.
It was launched to give young people who are interested in construction a chance to get on the right path.
The number of candidates from the CITAs program rose from 4,527 to 6,812 in just four years.
They also increased by nearly 30 per cent among graduates from another CITAS program, the Construction Management Program (CMP), which is based at the University of Cork.
These are the top five recruitment destinations for young graduates in the construction industry.
This study also looked at the number who had gone on to a further level of work, such as being employed as a full-time employee or a contractor.
There were 7,631 graduates from CITas program from 2014 to 2017.
The report said a further 4,919 had gone into the private sector.
The top three recruitment destinations, according to the report, were the UK, France and Italy.
The findings of this research will be published next week.
Abilens Construction Services was launched by the Construction Construction Industry Development Authority in 2015, which is responsible for the recruitment of young people in the Construction and Construction Management sectors.
The firm said it is now recruiting in all of Ireland, and will also be looking to recruit from other parts of the world in the future.
The organisation said that it would look to recruit more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The recruitment of a young person into the Construction industry is crucial to the future of the industry, according the report.
In addition, the report said that a number of young workers were in part-time work and that there is a need for more part-timers in the sector.
This could result in an increase in unemployment.
Mr O’Brien said that the study showed a real increase in the recruitment opportunities for young people, and he believes this will only be possible with more investment.
He added that the company has also been working with the Department of Education and Skills and will continue to do so in the coming months.
He said that his company was working with local community groups and the Department to ensure that young people have the best possible career options.
The new recruitment targets for Abilen Construction Services, Mr O. said, are: 1.
The next generation of young construction workers.
More women and minority candidates.
More flexible hours.
The introduction of a full time job for young construction engineers.
A spokesperson for the Department said that all recruitment processes are rigorous and we will continue with our recruitment targets to ensure a better future for our young people.
