ARAM construction company has announced a new stadium site for the Sydney Swans.
Key points:ARAM, which is based in Brisbane, has agreed to build a new football stadium in South Australia’s Swan District.
It will be built in partnership with the Sydney Football League and South Australia State GovernmentIt will host a Super League and AFL grand final in 2018The stadium is to be called the Sydney Stadium and will be designed by architect Ben Foster and architect-in-residence Simon Johnson, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
The Swan District is a regional region in South Australian and Queensland.
It has an average population of 4,000 and is located in the south-west of the state.
“We have been working with the Swan District Council and state government on this project,” ARAM CEO Peter Smith said.
“In this regard, we are excited to announce the construction of a new sporting venue in South Africa’s Swan district.”
The development will take us from the beautiful Sydney Harbour to the heart of the city of Adelaide, providing a great venue for our players to enjoy football, a sport which is of such importance to South Africans.
“The Swan district, which includes Swan Point, is located about 150 kilometres east of the capital city of Johannesburg.
It is home to many of South Africa, including Pretoria, Pretoria University, Port Elizabeth and Port Elizabeth City.
The Swans are due to play their first match at the Swan Stadium on August 26.
